Dr. Subhadeep Chakraborty is an Assistant professor in the Mechanical Aerospace and Biomedical Engineering (MABE) Department at the University of Tennessee. He received his Ph.D. in Mechanical Engineering (2010) and dual M.S. in Mechanical and Electrical Engineering (2007) from the Pennsylvania State University in the area of data driven fault detection and identification. Dr. Chakraborty directs the CoSMoS (Complex System Monitoring and Stability) lab at UT, which focuses on analysis and control of distributed discrete event dynamical systems. Dr. Chakraborty is also currently involved with the SCOPE (Socio-Cultural Opinion Evolution) Lab as part of CoSMoS, which focuses on the modeling and analysis of opinion evolution dynamics in networks in the context of social feedback and external events. This research has possible impact in several areas including marketing, healthcare and homeland security. Dr. Chakraborty is a CISML (Center for Intelligent Systems and Machine Learning, UT) faculty and member of IEEE.
