Satinover Competes in 3MT Finals

The Bredesen Center was proud to support Scott Satinover yesterday at UT’s 3 Minute Thesis Finals hosted by the Graduate School during Graduate and Professional Student Appreciation Week.  After a semi-final round where he ranked in the top 3 among half a dozen graduate students, Scott competed alongside 12 of the best 3 minute speeches from across the entire university.

Scott’s interest in outreach, including his involvement in Taste of Science, contributes to his skill of both condensing his research and making his content accessible for the general public. He recently shared about his passion for science communication and outreach with the Energy Science and Engineering Seminar (ESE 599).

This is the second year in a row, that a Bredesen Center student has made it to the final round of competition. The Interdisciplinary nature of the Bredesen Center allows students to grow in confidence and ability to discuss their research in many different contexts.

Congratulations, Scott!
