Biography
Supervising Faculty: Tom Zawodzinski
Asa is interested in the development of cutting edge energy storage devices. He is currently working on development materials for zinc-air batteries, which have energy densities up to 10x higher than current lithium ion technology, and anion exchange membrane fuel cells, which have the potential to dramatically decrease the cost of fuel cells for transportation applications. Specifically he is involved in the synthesis and testing of electrocatalysts and exchange membranes for these devices.
