Chance Brown

Cross-Cutting Energy Sciences

Biography

Supervising Faculty: Olga Ovchinnikova , Alex Belianinov

Chance studies materials systems using multimodal imaging techniques under the Nanofabrication Research Laboratory Group at the Center for Nanophase Materials Science. The group focuses on combining imaging techniques such as helium ion microscropy, mass spectrometry, and atomic force microscopy. From these systems, large image data is acquired and nontrivial methods of analysis are required to process and understand the impact of the results.

Outside of school, his main interests are Magic: the Gathering, astrophysics and space, programming, and cats.
