Biography

Supervising Faculty: Howard Hall

Jeff is originally from upstate New York, but spent much of his life in Raleigh, NC. Jeff attended Western Carolina University where he earned his Bachelors and Masters of Science in Chemistry. He was first exposed to the nuclear forensics field in the summer of 2011 when he received an internship at ORNL through the Department of Homeland Security’s NFUSProgram and has continued working in the field since. His research in this area has been the design and testing of several precipitators and is currently part of a project designing a MRFM. Areas or research interest include nuclear forensics and separation of volatile radionuclides from the nuclear fuel cycle.
