Energy Materials
Biography
Faculty Advisor: Dayakar Penumadu
My name is José L. Martínez Collado, and I am an Energy Science and Engineering PhD student at UTK. My current research focus on studying the crashworthiness of different advance composite materials used in the automobile industry. When I am not studying, I’m teaching kids science and arts for a non-profit organization or teaching adults conversational Spanish as part of a program I developed a few years ago. Outside of work I enjoy running, cooking and most importantly I love my time hunting for new exotic plants to add to my rare plant collection.
