Biography
Faculty Advisor: Chelsea Chen
Kyra is a second-year Ph.D. candidate studying Energy Science and Engineering at the University of Tennessee. She is currently works under Dr. Chelsea Chen in the Energy Storage and Conversion Group at Oak Ridge National Laboratory, researching the interfaces of Li-metal solid-state batteries. Prior to pursuing her Ph.D., Kyra obtained her bachelor’s degree in chemical engineering from Vanderbilt University. Her undergraduate research focused on improvements to next-generation ionic liquid-based electrolytes, while her independent research looked at entrepreneurship as a form of disaster resilience.
