Biography

Michael Richards is a Captain in the USAF and has been sponsored by the Air Force Academy to pursue a PhD. His interests lie in energy production with an emphasis in nuclear energy. His assignments in the Air Force include: deputy over a welding flight, responsible engineer for B-2 hydraulics, landing gear, doors, and windows, MS student, and Assistant professor of engineering mechanics. He is married and is the father of 5 (6 in January 2017) children. In his spare time he makes cheese. He loves teaching and is particularly interested in thermal-fluid sciences.
