Cross-Cutting Energy Sciences
Biography
Faculty Advisor: Dr. Travis Humble
After pursuing undergraduate research at the National Renewable Energy Lab on a broad set of topics, including computational material science and chemistry, machine learning, and data science, he joined the Bredesen Center in 2018 with a focus in quantum computational science -- that is, applying quantum computers to accelerate scientific discovery in fields like materials science, physics, and engineering. Specifically, Paul's work examines the interplay between quantum control theory and quantum algorithms for simulating physical systems.
