I work on a wide range of problems in computational statistics. My main interest is statistical methodology utilizing simulation including frequentist methods like the bootstrap, Bayesian inference based on Monte Carlo Markov Chain methods along, as well as the theory behind these methods. Several application projects involve Bayesian methodology applied to computational biology and image reconstruction. Others apply applied statistical models including regression and survival models to marketing and management data. My work is generally interdisciplinary and, as an Intercollegiate Graduate Statistics Program (IGSP) faculty member, has involved collaborating with students in numerous departments in business, engineering, science, and social science across nearly all of the colleges at UT.
