Biography
Supervising Faculty: Shih-Chieh Kao
Sudershan Gangrade has a multi-disciplinary background spanning the fields of environmental engineering, hydrology and geophysics with experience in both industry and research environment. Prior to joining Bredesen Center, Sudershan worked as a research associate in Environmental Science Division and Climate Change Science Institute at Oak Ridge National Laboratory where he conducted high resolution distributed hydrological modeling to enable the development of an integrated modeling framework to generate estimates for probable maximum precipitation and flood. His research interests include studying impacts of climate change on water resource availability and energy-water nexus, changes in hydrological extremes and its effect on urban areas and critical infrastructure.
