Energy Materials & Additive Manufacturing
Supervising faculty: Sudarsanam Suresh Babu, Michael M. Kirka
I am from New Delhi, India. I pursued my Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical and Automation Engineering from Indira Gandhi Institute of Technology, Delhi, India. After completing my Bachelor's degree, I worked for General Electric, Aviation in Bangalore, India for 3 years (2016-2019). During this period, I developed an interest in Additive Manufacturing technologies, Finite Element Methods, and structural design. In 2019, I joined The Bredesen Center in the Energy Science and Engineering program. My research interests lie at the intersection of Additive Manufacturing and Topology Optimization, with a focus on metals.
Apart from work, I am keenly interested in volunteering for educational causes. In the past, I was an active member of GE Volunteers, first as a volunteer and later as a project lead for a school. My primary role was to conduct weekend classes and prepare students from weak socio-economic backgrounds for science fairs and other competitions. I look forward to more opportunities to foster STEM learning amongst students.
