Research
Archer’s research is primarily focused on applying Spiking Neural Networks (SNNs) to control and robotics problems. Previous research in this area includes training an SNN in a Gymnasium environment and transferring it to a robot mimicking the Gymnasium model, developing a simulation to train SNNs to control the heart rate of an artificial heart, and creating an SNN to balance a Furuta (rotary inverted) pendulum. Other research has included developing a topological mapping and location reidentification/localization methods using vector-embedding tools and odometry.
