Babu received his Bachelor’s degree from the University of Calicut, India, and his Master’s degree from the University of Cincinnati, Ohio.

His research focuses on addressing the unprecedented extreme operating conditions encountered in fusion energy systems and on extending the service life of irradiated structural components. The goal is to enable reliable, economically viable commercial operation of fusion machines. This work contributes to the development of robust design methodologies for the ASME Fusion Code, while accelerating fusion technology deployment. Ultimately, the research supports the realization of clean energy production and helps secure a safe, energy-efficient future to meet growing global demand.
