Md Jubair Pantho

Data Science and Engineering (DSE)

Pantho is pursuing a Ph.D. in Data Science and Engineering at the University of Tennessee, Knoxville. He holds an M.S. in Computer Science (Data Science) from the University of Tennessee, Chattanooga, where his research focused on estimating the transmission fitness advantage of SARS-CoV-2 variants, and a B.S. in Civil Engineering from the Bangladesh University of Engineering and Technology (BUET).

He previously worked as a Research Associate/Biostatistician at Harvard School of Dental Medicine, where he provided quantitative and statistical support for clinical research on oral health outcomes and developed machine learning models to predict post-operative dental pain trajectories from clinical trial data.

Research

Pantho’s research focuses on using machine learning to design and improve radioactive drugs for cancer treatment.
