Hossain is a PhD student in Data Science and Engineering at the Bredesen Center at the University of Tennessee, Knoxville. His background is in computational imaging, machine learning, and scientific computing, with research interests focused on advanced imaging algorithms and high-performance computing for large-scale scientific problems.
Education
He received his Bachelor of Science in Electrical and Electronic Engineering from the Bangladesh Army University of Engineering and Technology.
Research
Hossain’s research focuses on tomographic imaging (CT, SPECT), developing advanced reconstruction algorithms that combine physics-based models, Artificial Intelligence, and high-performance computing(HPC). He designs scalable methods for model-based reconstruction that leverage supercomputing resources such as the Frontier supercomputer at Oak Ridge National Laboratory. His work aims to improve the speed, accuracy, and scalability of tomography for next-generation imaging systems.
