Ajagbe has been recognized for academic excellence and research impact, receiving the Award of Outstanding Academic Performance from The American University in Cairo (May 2025) and the Third Place Award for Best Poster Presentation at the AUC Research Conference (February 2025). He is also a recipient of the African Graduate Fellowship (2023–2025) and the Edinburgh Global Online Learning Master’s Scholarship (2022–2025). Ajagbe has presented his research at international conferences, including a poster presentation titled “Metagenomic Profiling of Antimicrobial Resistance in Siwa Oasis Therapeutic Hot Springs” at the Microbiology Society Conference (March–April 2025). He is a co-author of a peer-reviewed publication in Biomedicines (2025) on the role of gut microbiota-derived secondary metabolites in gastrointestinal cancers and infectious diseases.
Education
Ajagbe holds a B.Sc. in Agriculture (Animal Physiology) from the Federal University of Agriculture, Abeokuta, Nigeria. He earned an M.Sc. in Biotechnology from The American University in Cairo, Egypt, and an M.Sc. in Applied Poultry Science from the University of Edinburgh, United Kingdom.
