Wong was previously a summer intern at CNMS in ORNL, and has studied abroad at the Technische Universität Berlin. He has presented his work at TMS, ANS, MS&T, and M&M conferences.
Education
Wong received an MS in Materials Science and Engineering from the University of Tennessee, Knoxville, and a BSE in Nuclear Engineering and Radiological Sciences from the University of Michigan.
Research
Wong studies the performance of novel energy materials in extreme environments through the use of in-situ TEM characterization and automated analysis via machine learning. His advisor is Prof. Khalid Hattar at the Tennessee Ion Beam Materials Laboratory (TIBML).
